International Workshop on Biobanking for Rare Diseases

Hosted by BBMRI-ERIC, in Izmir, Turkey.

    Please note that due to the practical nature of the workshop there are only 40 places available.

A two-day training session will be held on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd May 2018 and will address the key aspects of Rare Diseases biobanking.

The topics will include principles of RD biobanking, how to establish a biobank for Rare Diseases, ethical concepts, quality management system, data and database management and security.

Following the presentations by experts in the first day of the workshop, a problem-based tutorial section that will be focused on the challenges in RD biobanking and a hands-on training will be provided to participants on the second day.
