The AACR is delighted to announce a Request for Applications for the AACR African Cancer Researchers Travel Awards – an exciting opportunity for investigators in Africa to attend the American Association for Cancer Research Annual Meeting, which will take place in Washington, D.C. from April 1-5, 2017. The AACR Annual Meeting is the largest cancer research meeting in the world and attracts more than 18,000 cancer researchers from over 60 countries each spring. At the Annual Meeting, attendees are invited to stretch their boundaries, form collaborations, attend sessions outside their own areas of expertise, and learn how to apply exciting new concepts, tools, and techniques to their own research.
The AACR African Cancer Researchers Travel Awards are available to eligible investigators in Africa and are to be used to offset a portion of the travel and subsistence expenses incurred in attending the Annual Meeting. Selected awardees will receive complimentary registration to the Annual Meeting and US$3,000 towards the cost of travel and housing. Applications are due by Friday, December 16, 2016 (applicants must first submit an abstract, due by November 17, 2016).
